I'm Bronwen Wyatt, a New Orleans-based baker, recipe developer, and writer.

​My name is pronounced Brawn-when.

​

​​I grew up in Maryland before moving to New Orleans in 2001. Since then, I've lived in Maine, California, and Pennsylvania before making my permananent home back in Louisiana.​​​

​

 

I've worked every role in a kitchen, including dishwasher, prep cook, line cook, and pastry chef. I had a ten-year career as a restaurant pastry chef before starting my cake studio, Bayou Saint Cake, in 2020. Now I'm a full-time freelance writer and jack-of-all trades.​

​

 

While I no longer sell cakes, I do occasionally donate them for mutual aid, especially those aiding the LGBTQIA+ and immigrant communities in New Orleans. Feel free to reach out if you work with these causes!

In my spare time, you can find me gardening

with my wife in the backyard of our 100-year-old shotgun house near Bayou Saint John.​
